[Arch Bishop Ikeako]: Let Biafra Go

Tuesday, 27 June 2017

/ by Chiscomaintain

During the Mass Celebration at Holy Child Convent (H.C.C) at Amichi, Anglican Bishop of Amichi said on the issue regarding to the current situation of the country (Nigeria). In his speech, he said that we should continue to give the Almighty and Gracious God thanks for his mercy, blessings and benevolence to us as a nation (Nigeria), despite the terrible and excruciating Economic Recession, God is still sustaining the citizens of this country (Nigeria).

While we are praying for our dear President (MOHAMADU BUHARI) for quick recovery from ill health, I want to remind the President that life has no duplicate, there’s no doubting the fact that enormity of governance will surely be aggravating to the state of fragile health condition.  “Arch BishopIkeako said”
Is it not better for the president to travel the root of honor and safety by resigning as our president in order to save both the SELF and the NATION at large? To him, Mr. President –you have had your fair share of leadership in this country (Nigeria) since 1983.
At 73yrs, the president can function all efficiently as an elder state man. After all “EMMANUEL MARKET” who was only 6yrs old when you were a military head of state in 1983 is now the president of France. Are we not confused in our own country? Whereby the youngest president in African is 90yrs old .the question is –Where are we heading to with this confusion?

On the security aspects in our nation (Nigeria) let me also join others on recommending the president on the release of the other batch of the abducted chibouk girls, the notable progress feels frustrating at times in the war against the Islamic Insurgence known as the Boko Haram, should also be appreciated and recommended but aside that, the greatest security question beckoning for answers in this country “Nigeria” includes:

Who is the perpetrator of mindless killing of the Christians in the Northern Kaduna? How many of them have been arrested, prosecuted and sentenced accordingly?
Did the security agencies play their expected and established constitutional roles in handling the situation? Why is it always impossible for the federal government of Nigeria to cut their activities off and train to the fortuitous Almighty in quote “Fulani headsmen”? Who are the suppliers of the Ak47 guns and the pump action revolvers they are using and carrying as well?

When arm and ammunitions carrying was legalized for this baptized Boko Haram group? And we are here talking about one Nigeria. While young people will match peacefully along the street as IPOP members and you release armies to shoot them, but ammunition carrier are not harassed by anyone and we are one Nigeria. The earlier we tell ourselves the truth, the better for all of us “we are not one Nigeria” let us go because there nothing that makes an Igbo man a part of this country “the Bishop said”

Can you imagine, to go to the north, you’ll travel 3-4 hrs and you can’t see one recruit policeman, but to travel to east, from one junction to another you will see up to 5 policeman and armies at checkpoint extorting money from people especially the Igbo people, let us go (the Bishop was still repeating). Thus, you can only stop Biafra but can’t close the chapter "Bishop Ikeako said”.
